Grand Junction at St Mary Magdalene welcomes people with disabilities. We have a lift to all levels of the both the church, new building and facilities. Step-free access can be found through the new building on Rowington Close and through the café on the canal-side of the building.
Please note that for people who would be unable to transfer out of their wheelchair for fire evacuation purposes access is limited to café and Rowington Close levels (this includes nave performance space and toilets), and we ask that you contact us before your visit to check details.
The age restriction for Grand Junction is 12+ with adult supervision.
We are able to offer seats for those who require it for their access needs.

Grand Junction has step-free access to all levels of both the church and the new building, with lift access throughout.
Step-free access is available via:
- The Rowington Close entrance, located next to St Mary Magdalene’s School.
- The canal-side entrance, through the Grand Junction café, located next to the Grand Union Canal and across the bridge from The Waterway pub.
The lift can be accessed from both the Rowington Close entrance and the canal-side café entrance.
Please note that, for visitors who would be unable to transfer out of their wheelchair during an emergency evacuation, access is limited to the café and Rowington Close levels. This includes the nave performance space and accessible toilets.

If you are a wheelchair user attending an event at Grand Junction, we recommend contacting us in advance. Seating for events is generally unreserved, and contacting us beforehand will allow us to ensure that an appropriate wheelchair space is available for you.

- Accessible toilets are available on the ground floor and basement levels.
Lift access is available throughout the venue:
- The Studio and Nest (mainly used for classes and workshops) is on 2nd floor.
- The Café and Canal-side Entrance are on the 1st floor
- The Nave (main church space for concerts, events, and some classes) is on the upper ground (UG) level.
- Rowington Close entrance and accessible toilets is on the ground (G) level.
- The Undercroft (the venue's crypt) and accessible toilets is in the basement (B) level

The Rowington Close entrance is located next to St Mary Magdalene’s School. The Grand Junction café entrance is located next to the Grand Union Canal, across the bridge next to The Waterway pub.
Public Transport
Grand Junction is within walking distance of several stations:
- Royal Oak Underground Station – approximately 7 minutes' walk. Please note that there is no step-free access and you will need to use stairs.
- Warwick Avenue Underground Station – approximately 8 minutes' walk. The station is not wheelchair accessible and access includes an escalator followed by a short flight of stairs.
- Paddington Station – approximately 17 minutes' walk. Paddington offers step-free access.

Parking
If you are driving to the venue and have access requirements, you are welcome to contact us in advance of your visit, and we can advise on the best parking options.
Free on-street parking is available on weekdays after 6:30pm and throughout the weekend.
A limited number of parking spaces are available directly outside the venue. Please contact the venue in advance if you would like to reserve a space.
The nearest Blue Badge Bay is on Alfred Road. In Westminster, Blue Badge holders may also use residents' permit bays outside the times stated on roadside signs, generally between 8:30am and 6:30pm.
